What is New in The Android World April 2013?

Being Android fans and working alongside Android app makers it is paramount that we keep you updated on what is going on within the Android World, after all there are so many new technological advances that it seems literally impossible to keep up. There are a few rumors heading our way this week including the release of Samsung Galaxy S4 on US Cellular, a possible new Android keyboard and the rumored delays of Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

Samsung Galaxy S4
How many times have you sent a text message on your mobile phone or your tablet and with fat finger syndrome you’ve accidentally misspell a word and the message ends up with a totally different meaning to what you set out to say? Researchers from the University of St Andrews, the Max Planck Institute for Informatics and Montana Tech have been playing with all different keyboard styles to come up with the most optimized keyboard for mobile and tablet use, and they have come up with a solution, it’s the thumb only keyboard called KALQ. Rumors have it that this free Android app will become available after May 1st 2013.

5.0 Key Lime Pie is to be delayed

We always like the strange yet sweet names given to Android updates, but the latest update is rumored to be running behind schedule and will not be ready for release between May 14 -16th at Google’s I/O event.  The reasons cited for the delay is that with the already fragmented Android market, Google wanted to make sure that hardware makers had enough time to finish rolling out Android 4.2 Jelly Bean before this latest addition was introduced.  What we need to do, is sit back and wait for the announcements at Google I/O to see which Key Lime Pie devices are revealed for autumn release.
Hope you had fun reading the latest Android World news, we will always do our best to keep you updated on what is new and exciting in the mobile sphere.
